Not only would I love to silence every Yankee fan in Angel Stadium for the third night in a row, but I would love nothing more than to hand each and every one of them a broom on the way out.

At the game last night, I was surrounded by quarrelsome fans who made the same ridiculous arguments time and time again. All arguments covered the amount of World Series rings each team has (the Yankees have 27, in case you guys didn’t know…some of us haven’t been told enough times), what their current record is, Derek Jeter, and the scoreboard.

I’d like to see a few things from the Angels tonight:

1. Dear fans, better insults please. Yankee fans occupy Angel stadium one to two times a season. Make it count! Don’t throw your beer, you paid good money for that. Don’t hit anyone, jail time doesn’t look good as a major event on your Facebook timeline. Be witty, be clever, be researched. Don’t tell anyone to look at the scoreboard, please. Everyone knows it’s there. Just, don’t. Yankee fans, if you must break out the good ol’ ring argument, please make sure whoever you choose to argue with isn’t wearing a much larger one at the moment. I am not responsible for any punches thrown.

2. Boys, keep doing whatever it is you’re doing. The line up is producing. They’re leaving runners on, but hey! They’re there, and that’s a start. With the home runs the Angels have been piecing together the past few games, runners on base are more than welcome. The Angels have made more errors on defense than I’m used to seeing, but they’re being aggressive. Mike Trout and Peter Bourjos had themselves a game last night in the outfield AND THIS IS WHY I LIKE PETEY IN THE LINE UP. We have two of the fastest guys in baseball covering 2/3 of the outfield and one hell of veteran in Torii Hunter holding down the fort in right field (and he’s still speedy). It’s solid. Simply solid.

This is the hot streak we’ve been waiting for all season. This is our fairytale. Take the Yankees, hand ’em a broom, and call it a day, Cinderella.
