Poor Evan Longoria.  He has a widdle boo-boo on his finger and can’t seem to find a Spongebob Band-Aid, so he has pulled out of the All-Star Game.  But guess who is replacing him?

Chone Figgins

That’s right, Chone Figgins is finally headed to the All-Star game, albeit at the very last minute.  The third time proved to be a charm for Figgy who lost the voting for the final All-Star roster spot to Brandon Inge and then was passed over in favor of Nelson Cruz (stupid Rangers) when Torii Hunter went on the disabled list.  However Chone is still getting slightly snubbed in that Michael Young (stupid Rangers again) will be replacing Longoria in the starting line-up.

Nonetheless, Chone should be proud of his selection as last minute as it might be.  He has worked his but off to improve his all around game and become one of the top leadoff hitters in all of baseball.  Too bad for the Angels though that this selection is only going to make Figgins that much hard to re-sign this off-season.
