Nothing is working for the Angels. They can’t hit, their pitching has had too many ups and downs.
They are supposed to be playing the softest spot in their schedule, but have gone 5-5 so far. Heck, they even lost an interleague series. They pulled out every trick in the book to try and turn the tide on their season, be it making trades, releasing players, calling up rookies or demoting veterans. They’ve tried everything. Everything except… playing the Mariners!
If there has been one tried an true way for the Halos to get on a roll, it has been playing Seattle. That isn’t really meant to be slap at the Mariners, though they aren’t very good and haven’t been for awhile. It is just that the Angels own them and have for nearly a decade. The last time the Angels lost a season series to the M’s was in 2003.
So this is it, the last trick in their bag. If they can’t whoop up on Seattle, then there really is nothing this team can do to salvage their season.
