Just like any good mattress company commercial I’ll have you know that this team just can’t be beat! Go ahead, go ask anyone! Friends, family, you name it! Winners of their last 9 road games in a row, and pounders of puny NL squads, this team is gearing up for another series sweep against crosstown rivals the LA Dodgers. People will tell you that the Dodgers are the best LA team; clearly this is the case since they are winning their division, right?
Wrong.
These guys are playing in a terribly weak division, which does wonders towards puffing up their overall record. Unlike the Angels who have to contend with the best team in baseball the Texas Rangers the Dodgers get to face the lowly Padres and Rockies (who the Angels just snuffed); and the struggling D’Backs and Giants. I don’t think they realize they have to contend with two of the best young hitters in baseball Trumbo and Trout, along with rising pitching star Garrett Richards.
Dodgers may think they have the upper hand with their blazing hot starter Chris Capuano, who has been struggling as of late (10 ER in 11 IP), but they’ll understand again why the Angels are always the dominant team in Freeway battles year after year.
They may think they’re sharks feasting on all that come their way, but there’s one thing they don’t realize.
Thar be Trout in this here waters.
