I hereby declare that if any organization chooses to celebrate Mike Scioscia, that they do it on their own time away from the spotlight. After losing his 2,000th game with the Angels last week AND tonight on his bobblehead night, someone needs to put an end to these pre-game celebrations.
The key to tonight’s game is simple, really. Jump on the Dodgers in the early innings (and I mean more than two runs, thanks), pitch a solid game through the seven innings (at LEAST), score some more runs for the relievers, then get ErNASTY.
Simple, right? Hopefully last night’s game (ending the Angels’ winning streak away on the road) has the Halos more motivated to handle the Dodgers this evening. Who in Angels gear doesn’t like walking away from a Freeway Series with a series win under their belt?
Score. Play defense. Score a hell of a lot more. Win. You know the drill.
P.S. Mike Trout…don’t change a damn thing.
