So we are back to interleague play. This is also the series that allegedly Albert Pujols will play third base so Kendrys Morales can keep hit red hot bat in the line-up playing first. Say what you will about Mike Scioscia, he’s not managing in the box. Putting Morales at first has a ton of risks but the rewards of his offense are to great to ignore. Personally, I would be more concerned about Mark Trumbo patrolling the vast outfield of Coors Field over any infield concerns that might arise.
To put it plainly, the Angels need to take 2 of 3 in this series and start to put some distance between them and .500. Given that Texas has suddenly looked mortal, the Angels have a real opportunity to make this a race.
