Daily Links for the LA Angels including Aybar should be back Monday, Weaver and Haren join some impressive company, Abreu getting his southpaw groove back and much more…

The Story: Erick Aybar is expected to rejoin the team on Monday.

The Monkey Says: Hopefully Aybar can come back and pick up where he left off as he was having a nice start to the season.  It will be interesting to see what Scioscia does with his infield though as Izturis, Callaspo and Kendrick are all playing well right now, so it will be hard to get them all at-bats.  It also remains to be seen if the Halos will demote Hank Conger to make room for Aybar or possibly trade/DFA Brandon Wood

The Story: Jered Weaver and Dan Haren are the first starting pitcher duo to post sub-1.00 ERAs since Maddux and Glavine in 1998.

The Monkey Says: That is some pretty impressive company that really goes to show just how great each of them have been this season.

The Story: Bobby Abreu is hitting well against lefties once again.

The Monkey Says: Clearly a small sample size is in play here, but him being able to hit southpaws again certainly suggests that maybe he isn’t as washed up as he appeared last season.

The Story: The Angels are finally realizing the benefit of carrying lefty relievers.

The Monkey Says: If only there was some sort of common knowledge that the Halos could’ve relied upon to realize this earlier.

The Story: The Angel roster has already gotten younger in 2011, but is the future now or later?

The Monkey Says: The Halos are relying on a lot more youth than before and it could give them a boost this season, but it could also be their undoing since young players can be so volatile.  That being said, with Chatwood clearly close to being big league ready, Conger knocking at the door of the starting catcher job and, of course, Mike Trout a year away, the Angels could have a an amazing amount of young talent at the core of the franchise by as soon as next year.

The Story: Sign your kid up now for the Angels Youth Baseball Camp.

The Monkey Says: Would it make me a bad father if I forced my 22-month old daughter to attend this camp?
