Hey, what’s this? That record up there, look! The Angels are actually at .500 again!!! Whoopie!!!! It seems like with the roll they’re on they’ll NEVER lose a game! Nothing can stop these guys, especially not the post-retirement return of Andy Pettite!
Should I keep jinxing the team or would it be best to stop now?
With the way Dan Haren pitched in his last start, striking out a career high 14 against the Mariners while walking none in a shutout effort, you can count on the fact that the Yankees won’t score nearly as much as they did yesterday. The same could be said for the Angels since they don’t get to face the Southern California native who can’t pitch against his hometown team Phil Hughes, but with the way the bats were swinging last night it seems like even the best of pitchers would have a little trouble on the mound against these guys.
The Angels have just proved that they can battle tooth and nail to pull out a gritty win even when the circumstances are against them. That’s great to see, but tonight maybe we could get a nice comfortable steamroll of a win?
It would feel real nice guys, I promise!
