Never mind that they can’t hit or hold a lead, this team that is barely over .500 is somehow going to take off like a rocket and take control of the division. Yeah, right.
- INJURY UPDATE: Torii Hunter is scheduled to get today off to rest his sore groin.
- A commemorative patch for Nick Adenhart is now on sale with the proceeds going to charity.
- Let the speculation begin, Brandon Wood recently played a game at first base and Sean Rodriguez in center field. This might be nothing as the Angels simply like having positional versatility, but it sure seems like the Angels are doing whatever they can to make these two stud prospects easier to get into a game in the majors.
- Torii Hunter is now in fifth place in the AL Outfielder All-Star voting. Torii is within striking distance of fourth-place, but cracking the starting three seems far-fetched although Josh Hamilton, who is currently second, is out injured.
