The November 8th, 2011 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim including Angels would be crazy to trade Bourjos, Heath Bell is interested in signing with the Angels, Halos not likely to pursue Cespedes and much more…

The Story: The Angels would be crazy to trade Peter Bourjos.

The Monkey Says: Hear hear!  We all know I love Speedy Petey, so it is nice to see some other right-thinking people agreeing with me.  It isn’t that Bourjos is untouchable, but they shouldn’t let him go unless they are getting a bona fide star in return and David Wright is definitely not that.

The Story: Heath Bell says he would be willing to sign with the Angels.

The Monkey Says: Bell is known to prefer Southern California, so this isn’t a surprise.  However, since he also lists the Phillies and Red Sox as preferred destinations, it is pretty safe to say that he will just go to the highest bidder.

The Story: It appears unlikely that the Angels will make a bid for Cuban defector Yoennis Cespedes.

The Monkey Says: Cespedes is supposed to be one of the greatest Cuban prospects ever, but since he is an outfielder, the Angels don’t appear interested.  Plus, if this insane promotional video is any indication, he might be an egomanical headcase.  I insist that you watch it.

The Story: Hank Conger was responsible for the second best bunt of the 2011 MLB season.

The Monkey Says: See, Mike Scioscia?!?!?  Conger can do good things.  Let him play!  Let him play!  Let him play!  Let him play!

The Story: The Outside Corner presents their top 10 Angels prospects.

The Monkey Says: This wasn’t one of mine, but it is still pretty good, so it only counts as half-shameless self-promotion.

The Story: Projecting Mark Trumbo’s 2012 fantasy baseball outlook.

The Monkey Says: My contribution is included in this one, but it is only part of it.  Let’s call this 3/4 shameless self-promotion.
