Prince Fielder he is not, but the Angels finally got off their ass and made a trade to help out their lineup by acquiring Alberto Callaspo yesterday.  However, the move is receiving mixed reviews from fans and media alike.  What side do you come down on?

April 14, 2010: Kansas City Royals' Alberto Callaspo (13) during the MLB baseball game between the Kansas City Royals vs Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan.

You Make the Call! What do you think of the Angels’ acquisition of Alberto Callaspo?

A) I like it.  The Angels are finally getting proactive on the trade market and adding some much-needed depth, plus they get a guy who will be with the team for years rather than some lame ass rental.

B) I’m still not sure.  Callaspo is a solid addition, but he isn’t a difference maker.  He will certainly help, but was it really necessary to trade two young starters for him?

C) I hate it.  Tony Reagins is asleep at the wheel.  The Halos need to add a big bat to their lineup and all he can come up with is yet another light-hitting utility infielder?!?!  This sucks hard.

SECRET OPTION D) I am confused.  This Angel team isn’t going to win the division and even if they somehow do, they are just going to flame out in the playoffs again.  It is time for Anaheim to surrender for a season and start reloading their farm system and stockpile other assets so that they can prime themselves to become a real contender again next year.
