So this is the swing game. This is the game where we find out what these Angels are truly made of. Last night’s win was a nice reminder that this was supposed to be a two horse race all season. If the Angels win tonight, then we will know for sure that both teams are in it for the long haul. A loss puts the Angels back to a comfortable distance and reinstates Texas as the team with all the momentum.

On top of that is the whole CJ Wilson vs. his old team thing. I get the impression that the events of last month have not set well with the Rangers hitters. Mike Napoli in particular seems to be holding a Grade A gurdge against Wilson, along with the Angels (still, Mike…isn’t it time to get over that?) Wilsone needs to match Darvish pitch for pitch in order to keep the Angels in what I suspect could be a low scoring game.

Of course it would be great to see this but my Dish Network will once again not be carrying this game in a schoolyard spitting match against Fox Sports. So I will be left to my computer and all your insights via Twitter. Not that I’m bitter or anything…
